The first several days on the Trans-Sierra Xtreme Challenge are dominated by water.  Water keeps things cool and fresh, and brings out some amazing wildflowers, and wildlife.  We can almost guarantee you’ll see deer by the end of day two, and a marmot or two along the way.  However, the bear sighting that took place in 2013 is extremely rare!  Bear markings are present and highly visible on day two of the trek, but bears themselves are rarely encountered.
