When we started our late April trek into the Canyon, there was snow on the roads heading into the park.  On the trail we experienced rain and hail, heard thunder, and felt the warmth of the sun while swimming in the Colorado River. The views and vistas were spectacular.   But its the people that make each event special.  Here are a few highlights from our late spring Grand Canyon Challenge trek.

Chris first backpacked the Sierra to Mt. Whitney in the early 90s. He completed the John Muir Trail in 1997, and founded TSX Challenge in 2011 as a way to positively impact the lives of others through inspirational backpacking experiences.
